Joris Louwen

Joris finished his two Master’s degrees in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology at Wageningen University. After that, he worked as a research assistant in the Bioinformatics group. He focused on developing and integrating genome and metabolome mining tools to accelerate natural product-based drug discovery. In 2022, Joris joined The Hyve as a data engineer in the Open Targets team. In his free time, Joris enjoys playing guitar, playing squash, reading a good book, going out into nature, and playing board games.
