The Hyve is proud to be a partner in the latest Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI2) project: the European Health Data & Evidence Network (EHDEN).
Using real world data for research is very challenging nowadays. The EHDEN project wants to give a new paradigm by building a large‐scale, federated network of data sources standardised to the OMOP common data model. This way we can use the analytical tools developed by the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) collaboration and other tools for the discovery and analysis of health data in Europe.
"The Hyve has a big responsiblity in EHDEN, to lead the technical work package together with Janssen", says Kees van Bochove, CEO of The Hyve. "We will be working on tooling to make health records FAIR through mapping to OMOP from many different sources, including registries, hospital EMRs, primary care databases, and even national health data initiatives".
